Some time during the senior year of high school, Kimlinh Tran decided to job shadow a voice actor for her senior project, a curriculum centered around job exploration. Inspired by the performance she witnessed during the recording session, she did everything she could to become a voice actress and work her way back into the booth. Throughout her time at Moorpark College and while studying for her screenwriting degree at California State University of Northridge, she slowly but surely made a name for herself among animators, independent game developers, and other content creators.
Her more notable credits include Fidget in “Dust: An Elysian Tail”, Ms. Fortune and Robo-Fortune in “Skullgirls”, Queen Serecta, Ven, Lightningbringer, and Penitent Lodestone in “Heroes of Newerth”, over a dozen different characters, including two dogs and worms, in “Stick It To The Man” and Zombie Vikings respectively, several ghostly creatures in “DreadOut”, and additional voices in anime like “K-ON!”, “Juden Chan: Recharged”, “Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan”, “Squid Girl”, “Toradora”, and “Tweeny Witches”. A highly anticipated upcoming role includes Bliss Barson in “Cryamore”. She has helped cast video games like “Phantom Pharoah’s Treasure Trap” for Adult Swim Games, “Haunt the House: Terrortown” for PlayStation Mobile, now available on PC and Mac, and “Galactic Phantasy Prelude” for the iOS. She provided the creature vocal effects for Beopup the Fox in “Kagemono: The Shadow Folk”, animated by Sabrina Cotugno, who has worked at Pixar, Walt Disney Studios, and Disney Television Animation, the Cat Witch in “Potion Shop”, animated by Temmie Chang of “Undertale” fame, and the Hen in “Bye Bye Bunny”, a Supinfocom animation. She has voice matched for Rarity and Princess Luna in various apps officially licensed under Hasbro.
She has over 200 released online projects and credits under her belt, and long time followers of her work may recognize her as Chi-Chi in “Team Four Star’s Dragonball Z Abridged”, Amanda in “Sanity Not Included”, Granda in “TOME: Terrain of Magical Expertise”, Nanako in Sapphire’s “Persona 4 Hiimdaisy Comic Dub”, and Scootaloo in “SWAG.MOV”. At the moment, when she isn’t voice acting, she’s drawing or working on creating her first video game as a co-creative director. She loves animals, especially the cute ones that make her hsdfkjjkfdbjuhajfkhs, and loves learning about animation and video games.
